Stream Deck for AI agents: why a command center wins
“Stream Deck for AI agents” is a common search for people who already own an Elgato-style pad and want agent shortcuts. Hotkeys help. They are not a full agent command center.
What a Stream Deck does well

- Task identity — which job is on which engine?
Command center vs button grid
A button grid fires actions. A command center represents state. Codex Micro–class pads and software boards chase state + shortcuts. Generic Stream Deck setups chase shortcuts alone unless you build a custom plugin ecosystem yourself.
When to keep the Stream Deck
Keep it for OBS, window management, and non-agent macros. Pair it with a multi-model agent app if agents are core to your day — multi-model AI agent surface first, metal later if you still want LEDs on the desk.
